I just observe and do what others around me are doing. I ask a friend to explain what's happening during the ceremony. I research the traditions beforehand and read any program notes provided to deepen my understanding. I'm uncomfortable with unfamiliar traditions and prefer to skip the event.

Making sure everything looks visually cohesive and beautiful. Including elements from both cultures, even if I'm not entirely sure of their significance. Communicating with both families and prioritizing the traditions that feel most meaningful to both partners. Ensuring authentic meaning, open communication with families, skilled practitioners, and guest education about the traditions.
