How do you currently approach selecting which social media platforms to use for promoting your blog?

I post on every platform I can find—the more exposure, the better. I use the popular platforms (Facebook, Instagram) but haven't researched where my specific audience actually spends time. I've identified 2-3 platforms where my target audience is active and focus most of my effort there. I've done detailed research on my audience demographics, tested different platforms, and optimized my strategy based on engagement data.

How do you handle content creation for social media promotion of your blog?

I post the same content everywhere—same text, same link, minimal effort. I sometimes adjust my posts slightly for different platforms, but mostly I reuse the same message. I repurpose my blog content into different formats (quotes, tips, threads) tailored to each platform's culture. I systematically extract 10+ social posts from each blog article, adapting format, tone, and hooks for each platform's unique audience.

How much time do you spend genuinely engaging with your followers and community on social media?

I rarely engage—I mostly just post my blog links and check back occasionally. I respond to comments a few times a week, but it's more of an afterthought than a priority. I spend 10-15 minutes daily responding to comments and engaging with relevant conversations in my niche. I dedicate 15-20 minutes daily to genuine interaction—responding within the first hour, asking questions, celebrating followers, and building real relationships.

How do you measure whether your social media efforts are actually driving blog traffic and results?

I mainly look at follower count and likes—those feel like the best indicators of success. I check my social media analytics occasionally but don't really track how much traffic actually comes to my blog from social. I track click-through rates and use Google Analytics to see which platforms send traffic, but I don't dig deeper into visitor quality. I regularly analyze which content types drive traffic, track repeat visitors from social channels, monitor time-on-page, and adjust my strategy based on data.
