What do you think is the most promising alternative to traditional corporate media ownership in Canada?

I'm not aware of any alternatives—corporate ownership seems like the only model. Government-funded public broadcasting, but I'm concerned about political influence. Non-profit news organizations and journalist cooperatives are emerging as viable alternatives. A mix of non-profits, cooperatives, hybrid digital models, and direct audience support—each addressing different community needs.
