How are you currently tracking your marketing ROI?

I'm not tracking ROI systematically—I mostly go by gut feeling and general impressions. I track some basic metrics like website traffic and clicks, but I'm not sure how they connect to revenue. I monitor conversion rates and customer acquisition costs, but I'm missing some key metrics. I have a comprehensive dashboard tracking CAC, CLV, ROAS, and marketing contribution to revenue.

How do you allocate your marketing budget across channels?

I divide the budget equally across all channels or follow what competitors are doing. I allocate based on channel popularity, but I don't regularly review performance data. I allocate based on past performance, but I only review quarterly and rarely test new channels. I use the 70-20-10 framework (proven, emerging, experimental) and adjust monthly based on data.

Which of these pitfalls have affected your marketing budget?

Multiple pitfalls—I chase vanity metrics, stop campaigns too early, and don't segment audiences. I've struggled with some of these, especially obsessing over likes and shares instead of conversions. I'm aware of these pitfalls and avoid most of them, but my attribution tracking could be stronger. I actively avoid these pitfalls through proper measurement, segmentation, and attribution tracking.

What's your biggest challenge with marketing budget optimization right now?

I don't know which channels are actually driving revenue or how to measure success. I have some data, but I struggle to interpret it and make confident budget decisions. I understand my metrics, but I'm not sure how to optimize further or scale what's working. I'm consistently optimizing and scaling, but I want to implement advanced techniques like predictive analytics.
